Indonesia anticipate Economic Crisis

"In the past two months, the government has been watching the global economy closely"

The central government is anticipating the European debt crisis which may within the short while affect the national economy.
"In the past two months, the government has been watching the global economy closely," said Finance Minister, Agus Martowardojo, today.
The government has readied several fiscal policies to anticipate the possible crisis such as stimulus and incentives. In addition, the government is also looking forward to possible layoffs and food crisis.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Hatta Rajasa said, "the decrease in exports in Asia is the most possible issue. India and China have now witnessed the situation in which growth is falling."
Efficiency in the domestic economy is to be made possible, he said. "The domestoic market must be supplied with domestic products instead of imported goods," he said.
